Client Challenge

Buick wanted an auto show display which would be used at five major shows to showcase Lucerne’s sophisticated technologies and innovations. The display needed to be a product-based centerpiece display with a certain “wow” factor; include an integrated turntable for live presentations; and personify and demonstrate of its theme: “Beyond Precision.”

Strategic Solution

H.B. Stubbs Companies created the Buick Lucerne Technology Gallery, fulfilling each of Buick’s needs and going a step further. First, to draw the attention of attendees, the exhibit featured a large video LED wall with choreographed music. Next, a turntable rotated with a presenter-controlled, LED video, which took the attendee inside and under the “skin” of the vehicle to experience the technologies. Then the attendee was invited for a personal walk through the vehicle’s “cubed” cutaways, with both video and written passages for explanation. Finally, the gallery provided the visitor with a demonstration of “the art of precision”: multiple LCDs on a back-wall gallery featured an artistically imaged vehicle depicting precision through a slow dissolution into its many different technological components.
